Job Title: SAP Engineer (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – Onsite Tue–Thu, Remote Mon & Fri)
Contract Length: 10/20/25 – 4/20/26 (6 months, Temp-to-Hire)
Rate: $70–$80/hr
Employment Type: W-2 Only (U.S. Citizens Only – No Visa Sponsorships)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Engineer to join a cross-functional IT team supporting enterprise architecture and technical delivery within a utility-based environment. This is a hybrid role based in Columbus, Ohio, requiring on-site work Tuesday through Thursday. The successful candidate will bring 7+ years of SAP engineering experience, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with a strong potential to convert to full-time based on performance and project needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to consolidate and protect IT assets across SAP environments.
  • Maintain inventory of SAP-related IT assets and ensure accurate configuration tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and cross-functional IT staff to support strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with architectural standards and enterprise reference architectures.
  • Design, review, and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
  • Lead or support the implementation of SAP technology roadmap initiatives.
  • Apply best practices and standards across SAP platforms and domains.
  • Identify and manage technology risks and assist in mitigation planning.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and business leaders.
  • Contribute to technology portfolio management and continuous improvement efforts.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • 7+ years of experience as an SAP Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience managing or supporting project workstreams
  • Experience with both legacy and modern computing architectures
  • Proven ability to operate in outsourced and vendor-supported IT environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT asset and cost management practices
  • Familiarity with IT compliance, governance, and risk mitigation strategies
