Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – Local candidates only)

Duration: 1 Year (Contract-to-Hire)

Rate: $60 – $65/hr

Employment Type: W-2 (Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no C2C, no visa sponsorships)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Scrum Master – Intermediate to join our team in Columbus, OH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates who are passionate about Agile transformation, possess a servant-leader mindset, and can effectively drive collaboration and productivity across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and enthusiastic about coaching teams and removing obstacles to ensure delivery success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master

  • Proven ability to coach Agile principles and enforce Scrum practices

  • Strong mediation and conflict-resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience coordinating meetings, managing risks/impediments, and juggling multiple priorities

  • High-energy individual with strong influencing skills

  • Strong rapport-building and team facilitation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification

  • Prior experience as a software developer

  • Experience promoting continuous improvement and Agile innovation

  • Familiarity with the Energy/Utilities industry

  • Experience navigating and leading Agile transformations

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team on Scrum practices and Agile methodologies

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews

  • Remove impediments to ensure uninterrupted progress

  • Support and educate the Product Owner on backlog management and prioritization

  • Foster cross-team collaboration and support a transparent team culture

  • Coach teams toward greater maturity and self-organization

  • Shield the team from outside interference and distractions
