Job Title: Quality Assurance Assistant
Location: Crown Point, IN
Schedule: Hybrid – On-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays; Remote Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays
Contract Type: W-2 Only (No C2C or Visa Sponsorships)
Rate: $20 - $25/hour
Duration: Immediate start through March 31, 2026 (possibility of extension)
Position Overview
Our client in the utilities industry is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Assistant to support the Quality Assurance (QA) program within the Mapping & Records department. This hybrid role combines GIS-related tasks, database support, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of working independently, and comfortable using technology to complete day-to-day assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist QA staff with GIS and administrative support activities
- Post simple GIS sessions and run standard GIS reports
- Assist with GIS resets as needed
- Review and close out Quality Assurance work order packets
- Update Access databases with required QA data
- Receive and assign work order packets; maintain logs and records
- Organize department files and prepare packets for archiving
- Create and submit IT incident tickets for QA-related issues
- Support other administrative tasks related to QA operations
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage remote assignments effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in general computer use, including data entry and database management
- Prior experience with GIS tools or environments preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access or other database software is a plus
