Location: Preference given to candidates in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio
Remote: Yes, with occasional travel to Columbus, OH and Merrillville, IN (approximately twice per month)
Period: Now – 08/31/2025 (Strong likelihood of extension through October 2025)
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $65 – $75/hour
Contract Type: W-2 only (No visa sponsorship or subcontracting)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Training Delivery Specialist to support the execution of end-user training as part of Release 3 of a Work and Asset Management SAP implementation. This role focuses on delivering pre-developed training content to business users, primarily field personnel, ensuring effective system adoption and preparedness prior to go-live.
Unlike a Training Lead role, this position emphasizes hands-on training facilitation rather than strategic design. The ideal candidate will be skilled in live and virtual training delivery, confident in working with system users, and comfortable navigating SAP-based workflows.
Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Deliver scheduled instructor-led training sessions (ILT), both virtually and in person
- Guide learners through system workflows, SAP transactions, and hands-on activities
- Provide clear instruction based on pre-developed content and lesson plans
- Manage attendance and sign-in sheets
- Set up technology and training environments as needed
- Answer questions during or after sessions and escalate complex issues when necessary
- Encourage interaction and foster engagement through demonstrations and hands-on participation
- Provide post-training support through Q&A sessions, office hours, or one-on-one follow-ups
- Distribute and collect training evaluations and surveys
- Summarize learner feedback and report key observations to the training and change management teams
- Track completion rates and document any observed training gaps
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience delivering training in a corporate environment
- Direct experience training users on SAP, preferably within asset management or work management modules
- Familiarity with utilities, energy, or field-based operational roles is preferred
- Experience delivering training to a mix of technical and non-technical audiencesKey Skills
- Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to clearly explain SAP system processes to end users
- Comfort with virtual training platforms, breakout rooms, and online facilitation tools
- Professional presence in classroom or field settings
- Attention to detail and ability to follow structured lesson plans
- Basic data entry and tracking in learning management systems (LMS)
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- SAP-related training experience (certification a plus)
- Adult learning certifications such as CPLP or equivalent are helpful but not required
