Job Description

The IT Project Management Resource will play a vital role in supporting all IT Project and Program Managers within the Business and Technology Services (BTS) Talent Development Office. Reporting directly to the Director of IT Talent Development, OCM, and Marketing & Communications, this position focuses on building and enhancing IT project management skills, aligning with organizational project management standards, and ensuring effective use of tools and methodologies in a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training and Development: Provide training to IT Project and Program Managers on standard tools and processes for managing IT projects effectively.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and Talent Development Office to drive process improvements and skill-building for IT Project and Program Managers.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT Project Management community, supporting skill enhancement and professional growth across the IT organization.
  • Coaching and Guidance: Offer coaching to IT project leads on best practices in project management, providing resources and support for successful project delivery.
  • Management Reporting: Deliver regular updates on project management capabilities, tracking performance metrics, and reporting on delivery outcomes against organizational objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5+ years of experience leading IT projects, particularly in large, complex, and global technology implementations.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required; Agile certifications such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) are a plus.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience with the organization’s project management practices and methodologies is strongly desired.
