Location: Northern Chicagoland Suburbs, IL – 4 days/week onsite – Local candidates only
Period: 6-month contract – Strong potential for extension
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $70/hour + performance-based bonus
Contract Type: 1099, open to C2C (U.S. citizens only)


Scope of Services
:

The Senior Workday Consultant will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks that include Workday reporting, integration work, and operational activities. The role requires deep expertise in business processes within Workday, as well as the ability to handle both technical integrations and operational workflows. This consultant will perform analytical reporting, manage mass data loads, and ensure data validation. Additionally, the role involves the creation of ad-hoc reports, data analysis, and the manipulation of large data sets in Excel. The consultant will be expected to adapt to new systems and processes while maintaining a strong focus on data accuracy and quality control.


Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables
:

  • Business Process Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of Workday business processes to optimize workflows and system configurations.
  • Integration and Operational Work: Manage both integration tasks and operational functions within Workday, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow across systems.
  • Analytical Reporting: Create ad-hoc reports, perform data analysis, and validate data accuracy using Workday and Excel.
  • Mass Data Management: Handle large data sets (e.g., 50,000 employees) and perform mass data loads efficiently.
  • Workday Reporting: Develop and maintain Workday reports, including ad-hoc reporting and calculated fields.
  • Data Validation: Ensure data accuracy through rigorous validation and quality control checks.
  • Operational Knowledge: Leverage broad work experience to address operational challenges and improve system performance.
  • Adaptability: Quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and reporting requirements.


Experience
:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Workday reporting, integration work, and operational processes.
  • Workday certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with large data sets.
  • Experience in data validation and quality control.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Operational knowledge in Workday and broader work experience in handling both technical and business process aspects.
