Hours/Week: 40 hours – hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half
Rate: $90 – $100/hr
Contract Type: W2 only

 
Scope of Services:

The Business & IT Alignment Sr. Manager will have a large Client Area and deployed technology to support across multiple divisions. Technology Domain supported is defined as Enterprise (i.e., software whose failure is noticed quickly). Sr. Business & IT Alignment Manager manages the team and related delivery activities that require interaction between business units and IT (including Plan/Build/RUN/BRM) to successfully deliver Company solutions and ensure value is achieved as anticipated from the outsourced relationships under management. Partner with Business Relationship Managers and Provider on the identification of business requirements. Partners with Enterprise strategy on Domain direction. Is responsible for defining and the ultimate delivery of IT Solutions. Plays a key role in decision making, planning, and executing IT initiatives. Anticipates the needs for the client area and deployed technologies. Harmonizes, motivates and provides development opportunities for team members. Provides coaching and mentoring.

 
Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

  • Anticipates and manages in queue Request (Work Intake) lifecycle, track status of Request, update Request Tracking Log and provide regular feedback on status to Request Initiator (BRM).
  • Primarily responsible for successful execution of projects working through providers. Responsible for the approval of all project related deliverables including EWO/PWOs through System Decommission.
  • Manages BSS capacity and review corresponding project demand for solutions and projects across respective domain(s).
  • Ensures alignment with Enterprise service providers. Escalates if Provider is unable to meet demand. Plans, executes and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets. Assesses and evaluates risk.
  • Communicates effectively, both formally and informally. Demonstrates leadership. Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives. Understands the relevance of own area of responsibility/specialism to the employing organization.
  • Takes client requirements into account when evaluating proposals. Manage communication and negotiation with supplier to obtain required solution design and sizing (hours effort).
  • Reviews and approves infrastructure, software related project costs.
  • Takes account of relevant legislation, compliance requirements, industry regulations.
  • Emerging leader in industry advancements and direction of domains supported.
  • Thinks strategically leveraging knowledge of domain needs across Company.
  • Ensure effective systems operations between the suppliers and Company Plan/Build organization.
  • 5-9 Direct Reports.
  • Partners with Enterprise Architects on the establishment of Domain Specific Communities of Practices.
  • Function as Single Point of Escalation for all questions, activities and issues related to project delivery requests aligned to specific business functional domains.
  • Accountable across Company for technologies defined within their domains. across Company. Drives to resolution supplier issues.
  • Leads solutioning for functional domain or domains.
  • Key partner with Project Management Office on development of proper communication with clients and suppliers regarding project disposition.
  • Identifies and proposes new Service Requests to be included in the Service Catalogue as Standard Service Requests and initiate Contract Change and Revision Management process.
  • Responsible for Staff and Travel budgets.
  • Approves ROM estimates prior to project initiation.
  • Reviews and approves time reports/invoices Monitors actuals.
  • Manages Phase Zero's and accountable for accurate financial estimates.
  • Works with BRM on creation of capital requests.
  • For COTS, works with Purchasing and vendors on on-going software/hardware license maintenance estimates. Communicates maintenance needs to BRM, RUN and appropriate Finance team.

 
Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience.
