Location: Primarily remote; could be occasional travel required to Columbus, OH (vendor demos / selection) 
Period: Aug 5  – Dec 5 (4 month contract with possibility of extension)
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $95/hour

Scope of Services:
The Project Manager - Time & Attendance will play a pivotal role in supporting the selection of a time and attendance software solution and system integrator.  This position requires a blend of technical and managerial expertise, ensuring alignment with Company’s / IT / HR and the Business's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the assessment of current state, defining requirements, designing system architecture, evaluating vendors, and making strategic recommendations. The role also includes developing work plans, coordinating vendor demos and evaluations, supporting vendor negotiations, and facilitating leadership alignment / steering committee discussions. This role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure project success and adherence with best practices.

 
Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

Project Facilitation:

  • Support the RFP process to select a suitable time and attendance software vendor and system integrator.
  • Develop a comprehensive work plan to guide the selection process for the software solution, system integrator, contract negotiations, and pre-project planning
  • Ensure alignment with Company’s goals and objectives through structured project management practices.

Current State Assessment:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of current systems, including Workbrain 6.0.1, and processes.
  • Evaluate the integration with other applications and data passed for various functions such as financial reporting and payroll

Requirement Analysis:

  • Gather and document detailed requirements from stakeholders.
  • Perform a gap analysis of the current state against these requirements.

System Architecture and Design:

  • Develop and deliver a system architecture blueprint incorporating best practices and leveraging API technology for future integrations.
  • Address changes required for the future state of the Time and Attendance system, considering Work and Asset Management Phase 2 changes (SAP / Salesforce / Lemur).

Vendor Evaluation and Selection:

  • Conduct market research and evaluate potential time tracking solutions, including Workforce Software, Workday, Infor, UKG, and TimeClock Plus.
  • Coordinate software solution vendor demos and scoring (in-person or remote).
  • Coordinate system integrator evaluations (in-person or remote).
  • Develop and apply criteria for vendor selection.

Solution Recommendation:

  • Provide recommendations on the implementation methodology strategy.
  • Ensure the proposed solution meets Company’s critical functionality requirements.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and presentations to Company leadership.
  • Plan and facilitate leadership alignment and steering committee discussions.

Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Incorporate feedback from similar past projects and utility references with complex labor models.

Support and Coordination:

  • Support vendor negotiations with the business, IT, and supply chain.
  • Support IT project preparation processes, including developing high-level implementation plans and resource plans.

Leader Alignment / Steering Committee:

  • Plan & facilitate leader alignment / steering committee updates

 
Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP certification / Agile certification 
  • 10+ years of project management experience, ideally with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with HR/HCM implementations.
  • Experience with organizations that have a unionized workforce.
  • Experience with software evaluation and system integrator selection. 
  • Ideally, experience with Workday, Workforce Strategy, and Infor.
