Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Project Manager / Business Analyst - Warehouse & Master Data to support a large-scale Supply Chain Transformation initiative. This hybrid role combines project management discipline with hands-on business analysis and operational problem-solving across warehouse processes, inventory management, master data, SAP, barcoding, procurement, and supply chain systems.

A major focus of the role will be improving the quality and consistency of warehouse and supply chain master data, including identifying and resolving issues related to units of measure, material short descriptions, compatible units, inventory attributes, and other data elements that affect warehouse and procurement operations. This individual will also help define and manage a multi-year roadmap for warehouse and supply chain improvements, including technology, process, data, and governance initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with practical supply chain experience. They should be comfortable digging into data and system issues, collaborating with engineering and standards teams, managing vendors, developing roadmaps, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. Equally important, this person must be approachable, collaborative, credible, and effective at building relationships across technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Cleanup & Data Integrity

  • Lead analysis and cleanup of warehouse and supply chain master data.

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues involving units of measure, short descriptions, compatible units, material attributes, and related inventory data.

  • Analyze data for inconsistencies, duplicates, missing information, incorrect attributes, and process-related root causes.

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to establish corrective actions and sustainable data standards.

  • Support development of controls and processes that improve long-term master data quality.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

SAP & Supply Chain Systems

  • Utilize strong SAP knowledge to support inventory management, order processing, procurement, and warehouse-related activities.

  • Analyze SAP-related issues affecting inventory accuracy, material availability, warehouse processes, or purchasing.

  • Support troubleshooting of transactional and master data issues within SAP.

  • Work with business, IT, and external partners to identify system improvements and resolve operational problems.

  • Support requirements gathering, testing, validation, and implementation activities related to SAP enhancements.

  • Apply knowledge of batch, lot, inventory, and order management processes where applicable.

Warehouse & Inventory Process Improvement

  • Analyze current warehouse and inventory processes to identify operational gaps and improvement opportunities.

  • Support improvements across receiving, inventory tracking, storage, material identification, order processing, replenishment, and related warehouse activities.

  • Investigate operational issues and determine whether root causes are related to process, master data, system configuration, governance, or user practices.

  • Develop practical recommendations that improve inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and data reliability.

  • Support implementation of future-state warehouse processes and standards.

Barcoding & Inventory Tracking

  • Support implementation or enhancement of barcoding solutions designed to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.

  • Partner with warehouse teams, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to define barcoding requirements and implementation needs.

  • Help identify where barcode-enabled processes can reduce manual effort, data errors, or inventory discrepancies.

  • Support testing, rollout, and operational adoption of inventory tracking solutions.

  • Ensure barcoding initiatives align with SAP, master data, and warehouse process requirements.

Multi-Year Roadmap Development

  • Develop and maintain a three-year roadmap for warehouse and supply chain initiatives.

  • Translate identified business issues and opportunities into prioritized projects, milestones, dependencies, and implementation phases.

  • Balance near-term operational needs with longer-term transformation objectives.

  • Coordinate roadmap inputs across warehousing, procurement, engineering, standards, IT, vendors, and leadership.

  • Adjust roadmap priorities as business needs and organizational priorities evolve.

  • Present roadmap recommendations and progress to senior leadership.

Project Management & Workstream Coordination

  • Manage multiple warehouse and supply chain workstreams simultaneously.

  • Develop project plans, milestones, action trackers, risk logs, and implementation schedules.

  • Track project dependencies, decisions, issues, and deliverables through completion.

  • Coordinate teams across business, IT, engineering, standards, procurement, warehouse operations, and external vendors.

  • Maintain momentum across initiatives and escalate blockers as needed.

  • Provide structured project reporting and status updates to leadership.

Engineering & Standards Collaboration

  • Partner closely with engineering and standards teams to improve data consistency and compliance.

  • Help align warehouse and material master data with approved engineering standards and business requirements.

  • Coordinate resolution of discrepancies involving material specifications, compatible units, descriptions, or related data.

  • Facilitate cross-functional decisions where engineering requirements and supply chain processes intersect.

  • Support development of standardized processes that improve consistency across functions.

Procurement Governance & Compliance

  • Support governance and compliance activities related to procurement, inventory, and supply chain processes.

  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies that may create operational, compliance, or control risks.

  • Navigate complex governance requirements and help translate them into practical operating processes.

  • Partner with procurement, category management, business stakeholders, and leadership to resolve governance-related issues.

  • Support documentation, process controls, and decision-making required to maintain compliance.

Vendor Management

  • Manage and coordinate relationships with external vendors supporting warehouse, procurement, technology, or supply chain initiatives.

  • Clarify requirements, expectations, deliverables, and timelines with third-party partners.

  • Track vendor actions, issues, and dependencies.

  • Evaluate vendor recommendations against business needs and operational realities.

  • Escalate performance or delivery issues when necessary while maintaining productive working relationships.

Analysis, Communication & Leadership Support

  • Analyze operational and system data to identify trends, root causes, risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Translate complex technical, system, and supply chain issues into clear business language.

  • Develop executive-ready presentations, recommendations, roadmap materials, and status updates.

  • Maintain project plans and the three-year supply chain roadmap.

  • Support barcoding and inventory tracking initiatives.

  • Analyze data and prepare recommendations for operational and leadership stakeholders.

  • Track risks, actions, decisions, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.

  • Present findings, progress, and recommendations to senior leadership.
