Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Change Management Analyst to support the NiSource Customer Program, a large-scale customer transformation initiative focused on improving customer operations, technology, processes, stakeholder readiness, and adoption of new ways of working.

This role will support the execution of the enterprise change management strategy across program workstreams. The Change Management Analyst will work closely with the Change Management Lead, consulting partners, project teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end users to help plan, coordinate, execute, and track change management activities.

The ideal candidate has a change management, communications, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or business transformation background. This person should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast-paced program environment, and able to create clear communications, engagement materials, readiness trackers, and change deliverables that support successful adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Change Management Strategy Execution

  • Support execution of the change management strategy for the NiSource Customer Program.

  • Partner with the Change Management Lead, consulting partners, and program teams to deliver tactical change management activities.

  • Support development and maintenance of change plans, stakeholder engagement plans, communication plans, readiness activities, and adoption support materials.

  • Help coordinate change activities across multiple implementation areas and workstreams.

  • Ensure change management tasks, deliverables, milestones, risks, and dependencies are tracked and managed consistently.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Readiness

  • Collaborate with business leads, project teams, SMEs, end users, and other stakeholders to support involvement in the change process.

  • Help identify stakeholder groups impacted by program changes.

  • Support stakeholder analysis, change network planning, leader enablement, and engagement scheduling.

  • Assist with readiness activities that help stakeholders understand upcoming changes, new processes, and expected behaviors.

  • Support roadshows, demos, engagement events, working sessions, and other activities designed to build awareness and adoption.

Communications & Engagement Materials

  • Help create creative, targeted, and audience-specific communications to inform and engage stakeholders throughout the change journey.

  • Develop or support PowerPoint materials, job aids, posters, talking points, stakeholder updates, leader materials, newsletters, and other change communication assets.

  • Partner with project teams and SMEs to gather content, validate messaging, and ensure materials are accurate and relevant.

  • Support communication planning, distribution tracking, scheduling, and follow-up.

  • Ensure communications are clear, professional, timely, and aligned to the overall program message.

Change Impact Management

  • Support the identification, documentation, and maintenance of change impacts across program workstreams.

  • Coordinate with SMEs, project teams, and business stakeholders to gather, validate, and update change impact information.

  • Help translate change impacts into readiness actions, communication needs, training inputs, stakeholder engagement activities, and adoption plans.

  • Track changes to process, technology, roles, responsibilities, workflows, and ways of working.

  • Escalate risks, gaps, or readiness concerns to the Change Management Lead.

Readiness, Adoption & Measurement

  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data to assess end user readiness, utilization, adoption, and engagement at key program milestones.

  • Support readiness assessments, engagement tracking, adoption scorecards, survey analysis, and measurement planning.

  • Analyze readiness data with the Change Management Lead to identify trends, gaps, risks, and mitigation opportunities.

  • Help identify potential areas of resistance and recommend practical ideas to improve engagement and adoption.

  • Support preparation of leadership updates related to readiness, adoption, engagement, and change progress.

Event Coordination & Program Support

  • Assist in developing, coordinating, and executing engagement events that build understanding, readiness, and adoption.

  • Support scheduling, meeting coordination, attendance tracking, reminders, logistics, and follow-up for change activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of change management activities, progress, outcomes, and open actions.

  • Track change deliverables and provide status updates to project and program teams.

  • Support major program change activities, including engagement sessions, demos, roadshows, workshops, and readiness events.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support the Change Management Lead with tactical change plan execution.

  • Maintain stakeholder lists, change impact trackers, readiness trackers, action logs, and communication calendars.

  • Draft and format communications, presentations, job aids, posters, meeting materials, and engagement content.

  • Coordinate with SMEs and project teams to validate change impacts and communication details.

  • Schedule meetings, engagement events, roadshows, demos, and change network activities.

  • Track attendance, feedback, readiness metrics, adoption indicators, and follow-up actions.

  • Support survey coordination, data gathering, and basic analysis of change readiness and adoption.

  • Prepare status updates, reporting materials, and summaries for program stakeholders.

  • Identify risks, gaps, resistance themes, and opportunities to improve stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in change management, communications, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, business transformation, training support, or related work.

  • Experience supporting change management activities in a project, program, technology, or business transformation environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience creating communications, PowerPoint presentations, job aids, stakeholder updates, meeting materials, or engagement content.

  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, project teams, consulting partners, and end users.

  • Experience supporting stakeholder analysis, communication planning, readiness tracking, change impact documentation, or adoption activities.

  • Ability to gather and summarize qualitative and quantitative information.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate trackers, records, and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate in a fast-paced program environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Ability to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday in Columbus, OH.

  • Experience supporting customer transformation, customer operations, utility, energy, or regulated industry programs.
